Modern Posterior

Am I speaking only by linking semantically retrievable pieces of history?
Passed down untraceably. Is vocabulary our faces glued to the unthanking surface where trees once lived?

Individual selflessly selfish ideals...emerging from categorically imitated landscapes painted on our skins. As we dig our toes into fertilized soil, we feel the dirt wedge between our flesh and our nails and we wonder if life is the exact same thing as what we are currently doing.

Oh you are just another bicycle thief like me
Desperately pedaling in between the scenes
That separates the sewer rats from the prideful steed
Neither are we innocent or guilty of our deeds
You bicycle thief
You bicycle thief

Oh look at us now oh look how old we are
I remember thinking once wed never even get this far
All the while thinking I know myself
But really only knowing what
What I know so far
All the while I thought that I knew your smile
But all the while I guess I was
Just obsessed with your style
And all the while we've been trying to figure out
Who had once rode these bicycles we're on
